Birthdays: one birthday for all your servers
Set your birthday once and every server with Birthdays enabled can celebrate it. You can still keep a different birthday for single servers, and admins can now manage birthdays from the dashboard.
Birthdays got a big update. Your birthday no longer has to be entered again on every server.
For members
- One birthday for all servers: Use
/birthday setwith the new scope option set to All servers, and every server with Birthdays enabled will wish you on your day. - Only for this server: Leave the scope on This server to save a birthday that only applies here. It always takes priority over your global birthday on that server.
- Reset where you want:
/birthday resetnow only affects the current server by default. Your global birthday keeps working everywhere else. Choose All servers to remove it completely. - New Birthday tab on your profile: Set or remove your global birthday, see the servers where it's hidden and show it again, and remove birthdays you saved for single servers.
For admins
- New Members tab: The Birthdays page in the dashboard now lists all birthdays saved for your server. You can add a birthday for a member or remove one directly from there.
- Removing a birthday also hides that member's global birthday on your server, so they aren't wished there anymore. Their birthday on other servers stays untouched.
- Require Birth Year still applies: a global birthday without a year is only used on your server if the member adds one.
Also improved
- If a member changes their birthday, they are now always wished on the new date.
- Automations with the Birthday schedule now also include global birthdays, and February 29 birthdays are celebrated on February 28 in non-leap years.
All existing birthdays have been kept. They now count as birthdays for the server they were set on.
